We are very happy to announce that York Ceramics Fair 2026 will be again hosted at the iconic York Racecourse. This bright and open venue ensures ease of access and on-site parking for guests.
The Craft Potters Association always curates a strong line up and this year’s fair will once again offer a thoughtfully balanced mix of emerging talent and established artists, delighting a discerning audience with exceptional work. Alongside the main exhibition, enjoy an engaging programme of talks and demonstrations that enrich the experience.
The event is selected and run by and for the makers, and our aim is to provide an unpretentious and affordable platform that nonetheless showcases only the finest makers working in clay today. No commission is taken on sales, and this is a chance to buy directly from the maker and support the sector.
To ensure a comfortable visit, tickets are issued for entry either before or after 1pm, with unlimited time to explore once inside.
Under 16s enter free but still require a ticket.
6-7 & 13-14 June 2026 (10am - 5pm)
North Yorkshire Open Studios is an annual event enabling artists and makers to open their studios, meet, promote, and sell their work direct to the public over the first two weekends in June. As North Yorkshire is such a large county, North Yorkshire Open Studios is split into 3 areas – Dales, Central, and Moors & Coast. We include Artists and makers working across a range of different disciplines including painting, printmaking, ceramics, woodwork, glass, jewellery, photography, sculpture, textiles, mixed media, and more!

My ceramic sculpture ‘Four Thousand, Six Hundred and Sixty-Eight’ has been chosen by Ferens Art Gallery for their 2022 Open Exhibition.
It's with great regret that we’re having to cancel this years MADE LONDON.
It's not directly related to Covid but very much an indirect result of the Pandemic.
The venue has changed considerably since we were last there with all the outside space being developed by 'covid safe' initiatives - Tel Aviv style bar/restaurant (in a large heated tent), Private Dining (in individual greenhouse pods) a bar and seating on the forecourt and a new concierge and a florist in huts on the forecourt. This meant that there is now no vehicular access at the front of the building. It also meant that our stand contractors were unwilling to build the show this year and as most of the shows that were cancelled because of the spring lockdown have rescheduled to the Autumn the remaining contractors who have survived the past 18 months are too busy to fill in. So with a more difficult venue, no stand contractors and still some doubt over whether customers will be happy to travel to London in sufficient numbers to make the show worthwhile for us all, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel.
There will still be a MADELONDON show online 5th - 7th November.
Unfortunately the event has had to be cancelled for the second year running. I was so looking forward to my first show where I could meet some of you, but the organiser felt this was the best thing to so in the circumstances.
However, this will mean I can focus more on online exhibitions for this time of year, as well as preparing for MADE LONDON Marylebone in November.

I was so excited to be exhibiting at Made London 2020, however the event has been postponed to November 2021, and this year’s event will still be held virtually.

“Clay: A Festival of Ceramics is already the biggest celebration of ceramics in the South West and in 2020, the event's 4th year, it's about to get even bigger with the event running over 2 days, September 25th & 26th at Exeter Race Course.”
The physical event has been postponed to 2021, but a virtual event will take it’s place.
“Welcome to our fundraising draw where you’ll have the chance to win one of 40 stunning handmade pots, vessels and sculptures from some of the top makers in the UK.
Each £2 National Pottery Lottery ticket gives you the chance to win a prize. You can buy as few or as many tickets as you choose. Obviously the more tickets you have, the more chances you have to win.
The funds will be used to compensate the exhibitors taking part and the organiser for loss of income after shows have been cancelled and galleries closed this year. It’s tough times for the arts and for large scale events right now, this will help us to keep going until we can run events in real life again, so thank you so much for your support.”
My miniature ivory vase with 24 ct gold lustre detail worth £55 is one of the prizes up for grabs!
